General Project Information

The City of Englewood Community Development Department was recently awarded a Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) planning grant funded by Tri-County Health Department for this exciting bicycling improvement planning project. The purpose of the CPPW grant funding is to support community planning efforts to help encourage active daily living habits in order to prevent obesity. Grant funding for the Englewood Master Bicycle Plan Route Development Study and Implementation Program allocates funds to complete a detailed study of potential on-street bicycle routes, as well as additional funds to pay for immediate improvements such as new route signing, enhanced pavement marking and intersection striping, and new public bicycle parking racks throughout the community.
